The Thai Department of Industrial Promotion is planning to invest 52 million baht to boost projects that focus on 10 clusters of high potential industries including automotive and auto parts. It is expected that by the end of the initiative, the sales for SMEs will rise by 50%. It is also revealed that export in the first quarter of 2016 expanded by 5.1% and reached the value of 1.49 billion baht, with the automotive and auto parts expanded by 8.86% compared to the same period the previous year.*
