*A recent article by IHS Markit reveals a positive start for Thailand’s manufacturing industries as business confident continues to improve further into January and onwards. The Nikkei Thailand Manufacturing Purchasing Manager Index (PMI), which is an indicator of the economic health of the manufacturing sector, reads 50.6 in January from 50.4 in December, pointing to a firm demand for Thai manufactured products at the start of the year. Export has returned to growth for the first time in four months. This report suggests that Thailand’s supporting and manufacturing sector will continue to make positive contributions to the nation’s economy.

In the mold and die industry this growth means that skilled professionals will have to reconfigure its operations plan and source new technology to maximize their productivity and produce new quality parts to serve the demands of buyers in the shortest time possible.
