Fitness Trend Drives Thai Sportswear Business Growth

Popularity of sports among teenagers shows a bright prospect for Thailand’s sportswear industry. Sales are forecast to reach 12 billion baht this year, with the expectation of 15 billion baht in sales five years from now, according to Kasikorn Research Centre.

The factors contributing to the rising demands of sportswear are youths beginning to exercise much more frequently and longer period in time. In the first eight months of this year, Thailand imported sportswear worth about $14.3 million (505 million Baht), which aggregated 31.2% year on year.
