Thailand's furniture exports to the GCC
expected to exceed $30m in 2008
Thai furniture exports to the Gulf Cooperation Council States (GCC) are expected to cross $30m in 2008, with figures for the first four months of 2008 showing an increase over the same period last year. An official Thai delegation of furniture manufacturers comprising 13 Thai companies and their export representatives were scheduled to meet retailers in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Doha in June 2008. A special organised 'business matching' programme was expected to further boost trade between Thailand, and the UAE and Qatar. The UAE is also one of Thailand's top 10 export markets in the furniture category, together with USA, Japan, UK, Canada, Australia, Malaysia, The Netherlands and Germany...
