“As IKEA has signed a 15 BN baht contract with S.P.S. Group, it signifies that Thailand is geared to export furniture to world market. Our furniture manufacturers serve quality at reasonable price based upon promised value. With our rivals facing production challenges, the association expects huge orders will be placed using Thai wood furniture.”

“Furniture manufacturers make better use of rubber-wood because Thailand has an abundant supply. The industry normally imported hardwood leading to higher logistics costs from expensive fuel, meaning a shift to local materials would improve local operators’ performance in a niche market. Better use of technology would improve competitiveness.”
